Good article, well done, not fully polished but a nice read. I worked for a very large telephone company for almost 35 years, most of that time in technical support positions, retired as a director at 54 with over 1,000 people in my organization. A couple years later I decided to go back to something I loved most during my career, writing software, developing Apps for mobile devices. Working alone has many perks, but in some measure I miss the 'game' of navigating the various personalities in a larger group. As I read each 'type' you described, not only did I understand and agree with your observations, actual names of people I dealt with during my career came to mind. Not sure of your intent or objective for writing this article, but I strongly believe the best value for work like this is giving others the tools to better work with and for people, and even having people work for you. The key point is difference, there are different types and if you understand that, you can make better decisions when dealing with them. I often think I should write a book about this subject, using several examples from my life experience to highlight how to recognize and thus for each type, work effectively with them, around them, under them, over them or help them 'find a path' out of the organization. Most of the time you can't select who you will be working with, but you always have the ability to 'work with' the resources and obstacles you face. And let's be fair, we have all been at least some of this types, as seen by other people.
